The government is out of control. It may well be too late to stop the voracious animal that Socialism and greed has created. The deficit is already at over 20 Trillion and the average person doesn’t seem to be bothered by it so, my guess is that they have no idea how corrupt our government is. Voting is our civic duty but just like any other duty, if certain people can get out of it or make an excuse for not doing it, they will.

just because it will be “difficult” is no reason not to make the attempt for good

I always vote in every election regardless of how difficult it may be nor how the left attempts to lie, cheat and steal. I agree with you that doing good is its own reward.

There is no such thing as a necessary evil, if it’s necessary it may be onerous, but it cannot be evil. If it is evil it is not necessary no matter how expedient.

Why Vote you ask ? Because I can… To some new immigrants who became citizens who fled from oppression, those words " because I can " means A LOT.

I feel like voting is proof that you actually give a fuck about who runs your country despite the fact that your vote might not count as much as we’d like. Don’t just stop at voting. Take other steps to change the system to actually better all people. I don’t feel like people can complain if they didn’t take the time to vote (if they are able to vote).

It counts more than some would have us believe. There have been elections that have been decided by under 10 votes. The thing that many don’t understand and want to get rid of in our system ensures that politicians on the national scale have to pay attention to those of us outside of the major concentrations of the population, so giving more weight to all votes
